PORTFOLIO

INTRODUCTION

Thank you for taking an interest in my work! My name is Lark Miller - also known online as Covepalms & CritterCove Costumes, for my art and fursuit work respectively.I have been a part of the furry community for 10 years. My art is my fulltime career, so I am able to flexibly attend events and dedicate plenty of time to my work. I am an aspiring jack of all trades and am always looking to try a new craft. I aim to bring something fresh and new to the table, and I am very passionate about communicating and connecting with the community through vending.

Work experience

I have 9 years of fursuit making experience. I have vended at the following events:• FWA 2022
• Megaplex 2022
• Woodshed 2023
• Megaplex 2023
• CHOMP FL 2024

booth concepts

While my past vendor tables have been somewhat casual and small, in 2025 I am looking forward to debuting my updated branding and design with a vibrant and dazzling vendor display that best represents what I have to offer. I hope to be bringing my carnival-meets-jungle to an event near you!

MEET THE MAKER

LARK MILLER

Hi! I'm Lark Miller. I was born and raised in SWFL, currently residing in Orlando, FL. I have been building fursuits for over 9 years now.

At age 11, my passion for art, cartoons, and animals found the perfect outlet when I discovered the furry community.

At 13, I got to work building my first costume - made from craft foam, buckram, hot glue, and an old t-shirt. I named her Applesauce.

I soon learned how to sew, and started practicing by building a head, tearing it apart, and re-using the materials to make a new one! After a few years, I took my first commission.

At 18, I left home to pursue my life and community in Orlando. Ever since, my costumes and other art have remained my full-time job. I pride myself on my attention to detail and customer service, and invest the utmost love and care into each project I work on.

Process and TOS

pre-approval

When an opening date is announced on my social medias, I will open pre-approvals. To do this, you simply email in your reference sheet and any questions you may have. From there, we can further discuss details of your potential project. Getting pre-approved before submitting an offer is highly recommended, because I can confirm I will be able to create your character design, and open the conversation to any questions or discussion about your project.

pricing

I do not offer quotes or have flat pricing, I instead simply take offers during slot openings! I will choose a project for the slot based on the following factors, listed in order of importance: offer amount, character design, and payment plan length. The following are NOT requirements, but will improve your likelihood of being chosen for the slot: I prefer offers that can be paid in full or large down payments with the rest paid off quickly. I prefer designs that I have created or that compliment my design style. I prefer offers equal to or above what I have been paid for commissions in the past. For reference, my recent partials have sold in the range of 6,000-7,000 USD. My recent fullsuits have sold for 10,000-13,000 USD.I am currently NOT considering offers lower than 3,000 USD for heads, 5,000 USD for partials or 8,000 USD for fullsuits.

offering

When a slot opens, there will be an offer form link posted on all my social media. The form will ask you to submit a reference sheet, what kind of fursuit you are looking to get, how long a payment plan you will need, and what your offer is.When a larger offer is made than the current offers, I will message each applicant privately to give them an opportunity to adjust their offer / counter-offer if they wish to.When I am about to close offers, I will post a final call. If I receive no additional higher offers, I will carefully review all offers and their details, then message the applicant of my choosing to confirm the offer amount, work out details and move forward with officially accepting the project.*YOU MUST BE 18 OR OLDER TO OFFER. I do not work with minors, sorry!

what you will receive

I treat my clients and commissions with the utmost care and love. I genuinely appreciate each and every one of my clients and I aim to not only bring their character to life, but also to create a wonderful, memorable experience- to go above and beyond what is typically expected. This fursuit commission will also include, at no extra cost:

•A custom-made travel case for your fursuit head
• Fabric swatch card, source labeled and dated
• Personalized fursuit care and upkeep guide
• Brush and simple repair kit
• A personalized physical badge and lanyard
• Physical prints of any concept art made in the process

Turnaround times & deadlines

Turnaround times will range depending on complexity of design, amount of parts being made, and length of payment plans.Paid in full, a partial may be completed in around 1-3 months, or a fullsuit in 2-5 months. With a payment plan, a suit may take the full length of the payment plan to be completed.Soft deadlines may be requested- if you want your suit in time for a specific event within the estimated turnaround times, I will do my best to accommodate. However I cannot offer guarantees for suggested deadlines.PLEASE NOTE: All turnaround times are estimates and are NOT guaranteed. I do my absolute best to follow my completion time dates, but supply shortages like backordered fabric and other bumps in the road do happen, and may cause small delays in production.

STUDIO REDESIGN SERVICE

Studio Redesign Service is a new type of artistic liberty option I am offering in my next fursuit slot opening. This option is perfect for those who have an existing character design or rough idea, but would like to have it reimagined in my personal art/costume style. Please be aware that by opting for this, you are giving me permission to make major changes to your design, including color palette, markings, shapes, styles, and other design features.PLEASE NOTE: A Studio Redesign MUST be commissioned prior to the slot opening you are planning to place an offer for. I open for redesign slots occasionally in my telegram art channel. I will also open a large number of redesign slots in the weeks prior to an opening. You can view examples of my redesigns in the 'STUDIO REDESIGN' tab!

payment plans

Payment plans are able to be considered. The absolute longest payment plan I will allow is 6 monthsOther financing options include taking out a personal loan from your bank. With this method you can pay your suit off in full or faster, receive your suit faster, and avoid any storage fees.I do not charge interest on payment plans, HOWEVER I do charge storage fees in the instance of a long payment plan (See below section)

payment

Payment(s) will be able to be made through Square, Zelle, or Cashapp. If paying through Square, you will incur an additional fee of 3.3% of your total if using card, or 1% of your total if using Square’s bank transfer. If paying through Zelle or Cashapp, you will NOT be required to pay any extra fees.Regardless of payment method, both you The Client and me The Business will be required to sign a contract outlining protections for both of us. This is to ensure we each follow through on the agreed upon details - you for payment, and me for work.

storage fees

Payment plans that exceed 3 months will incur a storage fee of $100 per month for partials or $200 per month for fullsuits when the suit has been finished but not fully paid off. (For example, if I complete your partial in May but you are not able to finish paying it off until August, you will be charged $300 for the 3 months of storage)Unfortunately this is because I have extremely limited space in my studio, and using it to store finished projects that have not been paid off yet limits the amount of space I have to work and disrupts my workflow. Charging storage fees allows me to make up some of the income I may have lost due to that, and helps pay part of the rent for my studio.

delivery

I do offer FREE SHIPPING anywhere within the US. For international shipping, I will cover up to $100 of the shipping fee, but the client is responsible for the remainder of the shipping fee as well as any import or customs fees.I offer FREE in-person delivery in the instance myself and the client are attending the same convention. I also offer FREE in-person local delivery in the instance the client is local to my area or would like to travel to my area to pick it up.
